Fortera Announces NIL Partnership with APSU Athletes

Fortera Credit Union is excited to announce the launch of a new partnership with Austin Peay State University Athletes. To date, Fortera has signed three athletes to serve as social media influencers for the Fortera brand. Jalen Ware (Men’s Basketball), Yamia Johnson (Women’s Basketball), and Drae McCray (Football), have all entered into partnerships with the Credit Union. Fortera is the first business to sign APSU athletes to agreements under the new Name, Image, Likeness legislation.

Fortera connected with these athletes through the Stacheville Exchange. The Stacheville Exchange site provides an avenue for student athletes interested in NIL agreements to engage with partners throughout Clarksville.

In July 2021, the NCAA determined Division I athletes could use their stature to make money under the Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) legislation.
