Empowering Our Members Through Education

Summer marks the close of another school year and a time to pause and think about what comes next. We know many of you are celebrating recent graduations, preparing for the year ahead, or helping someone you love consider the next step in their educational journey. It is a season that reminds us just how powerful education can be in opening doors, building confidence, and changing the course of a life.

At Fortera, we believe supporting education is one of the most meaningful ways we can strengthen the communities we serve. That belief led us to create the Fortera Foundation, which helps students pursue brighter futures through our annual high school scholarships and The Bridge Scholarship for single parents. This summer, we will host our first annual Tees for Degrees golf tournament to raise additional funds for these important programs.

We are also helping families plan for the cost of education through our partnership with Sallie Mae for student loans, while our Financial Wellness team continues to work directly with schools and organizations across the region to build practical money skills early.

That is why we are excited to introduce our partnership with Greenlight, giving families a hands-on way to help kids learn about saving, spending, and making wise money choices.
