If you're interested in what lies beyond the textbook, we can help. We are partnering with APSU to find students eager to gain career experience and learn what working in their field is all about.
We are passionate about helping college students gain the real-world experience they need to stand out in today's job market and helping them build a portfolio that packs a serious punch. Our on-site internships are available for upperclassmen (junior and senior) students at Austin Peay State University. As an intern, you will gain foundational knowledge in your field of study, be compensated for your time, and take curated classes on soft skills and how to personally brand yourself.
That's right. APSU will let you earn college credit for an on-site internship. Simply complete APSU's approval process and get credit by working with your Career Readiness Coach:
*These steps must be completed by the first day of classes of the semester.
Log in to Handshake (APSU's Internship and Career Portal) to search for internship opportunities and apply for a position.
If this is your first time applying for an internship, do not fret. Here's the rundown of what your application process will look like.
Find our job posting in the APSU Career Portal and submit your resume, unofficial transcript, cover letter, writing sample, and any relevant examples of your work. Tip: Try to tailor each of these toward the specific position you're applying for.
Selected applicants will be invited to interview with us at our Main Office located at 2050 Lowes Drive in Clarksville, TN. We recommend dressing business casual, doing a little research in advance (read about us and look at these helpful APSU tips), and, most importantly, not being too nervous. We promise it will be fun!
Congrats! If selected, you will be mailed some pre-hiring paperwork and asked to complete a pre-employment drug screen. If you plan to use this internship for college credit, you will also be able to get your future on-site supervisor's signature on any required APSU paperwork during this step.
We are so glad you are here! Prepare for a fun day of training and meeting your new team.
