Spring Street Branch Closure

Dear Fortera Members,

For the last 67 years we have been working hard to be our members’ trusted financial partner. We have seen change in all areas of the credit union and in the communities we serve. Evolving with this change is how we have grown to be a $700 million-dollar financial institution – one of the strongest and largest in the area.

As we evolve and grow, we are always evaluating our branch network to ensure that we are providing the right number of branches, in the right areas, to best serve our membership. As you may know, transformative construction projects are going to dramatically change the retail and business landscape in downtown Clarksville. With those multi-purpose developments come new opportunities for the future.

After much discussion and deliberation by your volunteer Board of Directors, we have decided to accept an offer to sell our 321 North Spring Street branch location. As this branch closes permanently in December 2021, we will be actively pursuing a new branch home in the downtown/APSU area and are committed to serving our members wherever and whenever you need us.

No changes will be made to your account and you will still be able to access the same full-service banking through all other Fortera branch locations, as well as through our Mobile App, Online Banking, ATM network and other remote tools. If you have a safety deposit box at the Spring Street branch, please visit the branch between November 29 and December 10, 2021, to remove the contents of your box. The branch will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for safety deposit box business only. If you wish to transfer the contents to another Fortera branch location, you will receive one year's safety deposit box rental for free. If you are unable to visit the branch during this time, we will securely transfer the contents of your safety deposit box to another branch. Please contact us at your earliest convenience to speak with a team member about your contents transfer.

We will keep you informed of our progress and ask that you trust us to make provident use of the sale proceeds to best serve our membership in the near and the long-term.
