What are dividends and how do they work for the Sprout Savings account?

Dividends are extra money that your account earns just by being open and meeting our minimum account dividend earning value. The Sprout Savings account earns dividends quarterly as long as your account has at least $25 deposited in it. It is just another way we like to say thank you to our members for trusting us with your hard-earned "dough". To learn more about what the current dividend rate is and our other savings accounts that earn dividends, please see our Rate and Fee Disclosure.

If we have trouble validating your ID, we may ask for a secondary ID.

If you have a question about whether an ID can be used, text us at 931.431.6800 or chat with us on our website. We will be happy to review your documents for you in advance.

What happens to my child’s Sprout Saving Account when they turn 13?

+

A Sprout Savings account stays a Sprout Savings account for life. This means that when your child turns 13, the account stays exactly the same and will remain open for as long as the parent or guardian would like. When you believe your kids are ready for a Flex Savings and Checking account, you can make an appointment at your local branch or video chat with us to close your current Sprout Savings account, and move those savings over to a Flex Savings account.

All families are different and the right time to give your kids this new responsibility is totally up to you. We're just here to help you and your family build those good, healthy savings habits.
