Ten $2,000 Scholarships Will Be Awarded
Fortera Credit Union is committed to supporting the education of our young members by awarding 10 higher education scholarships. The Fortera Credit Union Scholarship Program was established to help student members pursue a post-secondary education and earn an undergraduate degree, associate degree, or a trade certification. The scholarships will be provided by the Fortera Foundation.
Eligibility Requirements*
To be considered for a Fortera Credit Union Scholarship, the student must meet the following criteria: Applicant must be the primary member of a Fortera Credit Union account and the account must be in good standing. Not yet a member? Students 18 years of age or older can join Fortera online, or at one of our branch locations. Minors can join at one of our branch locations with a parent or guardian as the account custodian.
Applicant must be a graduating high school senior and will attend an accredited college, university, community college, or technical school, and be considered a full-time student. Applicants must have a Grade Point Average of at least 2.0 on a 4-point scale to be eligible.
Applicants must submit a one to two page typed, double-spaced essay on the topic of “What are two innovative ways to promote financial services to your generation?” Students must also submit their official high school transcript, a copy of an acceptance letter from the college, university, community college, or technical school of their choice, along with all other information included on the Scholarship Application.
