Tax season can bring stress, uncertainty, and a lot of questions. Through a new partnership with United Way, Fortera is bringing FREE tax filing assistance to our community through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
If your household earned under $84,000 in 2025, you may be eligible to have your taxes prepared at no cost by IRS trained and certified volunteers.

Following your tax appointment, Fortera’s Financial Wellness team will host a brief workshop focused on practical ways to use your tax refund with intention. This session is designed to help you turn your refund into a meaningful next step.
Topics will include:
- Strategies for paying down debt
- Ways to start or strengthen an emergency savings fund
- Simple planning steps to support your long-term goals
No matter the size of your refund, having a plan can help you move forward with confidence.
